Small turnout, smaller than the usual small.
Same commute, in fact on 87 I drove a little gentler once I noticed the economy was tanking.
Original GTI G60... In the right color.
Rolled over 1000 miles yesterday.
Originally a 390/3 speed car, now a 427/4 speed car. Owned since 1970.
Unfortunately I forgot my camera, so iPotato will have to do. There were Country Squires(the Mercury version as well), Econolines, Volvos, Mecedes, Audis... There was a little bit of everything. There were probably 30-40 Country Squires. It was amazing. The place is Effingham Motors, and if you Google that and click…
On the way to a site visit, the beige one caught my eye. I pulled over and noticed there were two, but then as I left I realized there were more. South Carolinians have strange collections(I know where a few Starions are stashed, and another place full of 80’s subcompacts on a multi million dollar piece of lakefront…
It’s like blue, teal, and green had an explosion.
I was going to anyway, but I got to it quicker.
Took the GTI on it’s first day trip this morning, and I’ve all but forgotten about the Fiesta. Anyways, pictures:
That’s a lie. There is nothing I want to do to it. With the FiST, I had a list. I had it on a lift within the first week. This car is better than I ever would have thought.
But no more puppies for her. In person it’s sad, adorable, and hilarious.
I honestly felt nothing when leaving the FiST. It was devoloping too many issues in too short of a time frame, plus, I’ve wanted a more grown up car for a while.
Stopped by the dealer and drove one. It’s every bit as fun with the DSG as the FiST, and just better overall. I’ve already been offered pay off for the Fiesta, let’s see what they can work on a Green SE.
Plus, since the 4Runner is pretty much exclusively used for taking her for rides, she pretty much has her own ride.
