When Suzie died a few months back, it was rough, but she was the family dog and I wasn’t quite as attached. This one hurts, it hurts worse than losing my grandfather. This dog was my best friend. She was my shoulder to lean on when I needed something to listen. She was what felt like my only friend for a long period…
That is all.
Change your lug nuts. It sounds stupid, but after having to remove 5 stripped lug nuts with a hammer and socket, the stock ones are just trash. Luckily I discovered this while doing the brakes, not on the side of the road.
Red car starved and holed a piston, white car is rusty with a mildly built engine. We got both engines out, and the one back in, but we ran out if daylight to do anything else.
Pardon my crappy pics, but vintage Ferrari. A 330, I believe.
The trim below the ST, the Zetec S (only available in Europe), got significantly better looking wheels. They are symmetrical, which is opposite of the trash we get here.
At least it takes away from the ridiculous gap between the roofline and the wheels.
Anybody want a FiST?
The trip back from Daytona destroyed my tires(thanks 95), and the front brakes are done at 30k miles(thanks brake biasing). I need to do my taxes.
Deep down, I really want an N54 powered 135i, but the HPFP has always scared me. Yesterday I discovered something, FCP Euro has a remanufactured HPFP with their lifetime warranty. The 135 is moving further up my next car list for that.
This time was local.
It was a cold morning, so it was fairly small, but some interesting things showed up. Pay close attention to the Gen 5 Camaro and JKU.
I’ve always kind of liked the Corvette, and have even began to add them to my short list of next cars, but I never quite got them. This weekend that changed. While going around the track, I started thinking about the MSRP’s of the other cars in it’s class(well, cars that the race cars were based on). That’s when it…
Oh well. Initial impressions are that they are significantly better than the factory Potenzas, while costing $60 less per corner, due to scientific testing done by me by judging cornering speeds.
It was awesome, I’m definitely going next year. Very pleased with the results.
